I have decades of specialist experience in assisting clients of all cultures and backgrounds and pride myself on a friendly and professional approach. I am dedicated to promoting my clients' well-being and achieving a successful outcome (with my philosophy being that meticulous preparation is the foundation for this).

My work has included undertaking free-lance senior consultancy work for a global leader in travel and business visas, as part of their business and private client immigration team. My role within this has been: to deal with some of their most complex corporate and private client immigration and nationality law issues; undertaking complex research at speed, to facilitate fast travel and relocation, with a substantial, well-known, corporate client caseload, many of them global; handling their VIP private clients, with a reputation for ensuring client satisfaction and fast problem-solving. This work has involved the use of up-to-date technology to facilitate remote-working and information/data-sharing.

My expertise is in all aspects of UK immigration, nationality and asylum law, especially in resolving difficult cases, often by using imaginative solutions and complex human rights law. I deal with:

All forms of family, business-related, and citizenship, applications to the Home Office, and appeals in the First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal;
Judicial and administrative review;
European, international and public law.
My client base is widely drawn from diverse cultures across the world (Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australasia, the Middle East and the Far East).

Past advocacy (courts and tribunals) and lecturing (for Stonewall Immigration Group – UK immigration and nationality advice to same-sex couples, including pioneering work before the introduction of civil partnerships). Participant in Goldsmith Chambers Animal Rights Team meetings; Writing research articles for the Nonhuman Rights Project.

My practice has also included: international, commercial and private litigation and arbitration and commercial contract drafting, for individuals and entities based in the Gulf region; drafting responses to UK government legislation consultations; in-house legal training and supervision of paralegals and trainees.
